Heights, Camera, Action!

12th November 2015

One of worlds leading designers and manufactures of highway cameras approached us to design a permanent platform to access their camera test pole, positioned near the perimeter of their facility. Up to this point, they had been hiring and using a battery powered scissor lift but due to the remoteness of the pole this was not ideal. Also, wind conditions were a factor and some days they were unable to use the scissor lift.

The solution can be seen, a permanent, robust and sturdy platform with staircase, finished with a stair cage to prevent unauthorised use and to prevent climbing and therefore trespass by would be vandals.

The go ahead to install following design approval was lengthy due to seeking planning permission, so note the powder coated green cage that fits in very nicely with the surrounding environment.

Our customer was delighted with the end result, commenting:

"Just wanted to say thank you to you and your team for completing the installation of our camera platform. Dean and Lewis worked tirelessly to complete the job on Friday as promised. The construction looks very sturdy and well put together and we’re very pleased with it. This will greatly enhance the safety and ease with which we can now access our test cameras".
