Working At Height/Genie and Avatar Magic
A pioneering Guildford surgeon is heading a ground-breaking local bowel cancer charity. Royal Surrey County Hospital leading colorectal consultant Iain Jourdan made history last June when he performed the first operation assisted by 3D imagery. Now Mr Jourdan is in the news again, he is now also the new chairman of the charity Guildford Undetected Tumour Screening (GUTS). GUTS was ahead of its time when it was founded in 1983 by Professor Chris Marks to raise money to fund a local screening programme to detect bowel cancer at the earliest stages.
Mr Jourdan was delighted to receive a generous donation last Thursday of £3,600.00 raised by GUTS supporters at a champagne reception, dinner and disco held at the Holiday Inn Guildford on February 4th. The money will be used for the ongoing support of the screening programme and family cancer clinic.
As the official Genie distributor, Working at Height Limited have been proud to sponsor the champagne reception and flowers of this prestigious event bringing together the great and good of Guildford, Surrey for the last 4 years, helping to support this local charity close to our hearts. At the cheque presentation Working at Height Limited bought bags of Genie merchandise including hats and sunglasses to all who attended, spreading the ‘Genie word’ to local companies and businesses and to thank them for their support.
