The Floating Scaffold Tower!
We came across this in Reading town centre, a floating mobile scaffold tower!
It raises a smile at first glance, but also a serious question.
Is it even compliant?
Working at height over water or in this case on water introduces added risks, movement, stability, rescue, and safe positioning all become far more complex.
We don’t know the full details behind this setup, but it’s a reminder of something important:
just because a solution works, doesn’t mean it’s safe, or compliant. As they used to say back in the day “answers on a post card please”.
