Working At Height Limited - trying to make a difference
As a part of Working At Heights commitment to the Parkinson's Disease Society we are now involved in raising funds how ever we can, we are learning all the time and it came as a surprise that the PDS wanted old print cartridges and mobile phones, we now have a collection point at our head office address in Surrey, however if any of our customers would like to take part then please make Lita or Georgina aware and once you have 15 of either cartridges or phones we can arrange collection, or simply send them to us!
Recycling Appeal
Recycle your mobiles and printer cartridges for Parkinson's! Supporters of the PDS can raise money for people with Parkinson’s and help the environment at the same time. Simply recycle your mobile phones and printer cartridges through the Recycling Appeal. Recycling just two printer cartridges could pay for the postage of a copy of ‘Being There’, our DVD for those newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s. As well as raising much-needed funds for the PDS, Recycling Appeal has a positive impact on the environment by diverting unnecessary waste from landfill. Mobile phones, while small, can mean big trouble for the environment as the toxic substances they contain can seep into the soil surrounding landfill sites causing pollution and damaging plant and wildlife while printer cartridges can take up to 1,000 years to decompose.
