Marine Boat Access Staging
Shown is the LCVP access staging in build, supplied and installed in April, required for Royal Marines to work safely on and around these landing craft at RM Tamar in Devonport Plymouth.
Designed in four sections, with access to both port and starboard and aft to gain access to the 'wheel house', also edge protection was provided for the 'well deck' and 'engine bay' with additional access and egress to the "well deck'.
Manufactured in aluminium, an all welded and bolted construction, it will ensure that the Work At Height Regulations are adhered to when the craft are in home territory.
Our install team completed the installation in just two days, aided by the Royal Marines who took a 'hands on' approach to training.
Enough staging was ordered and delivered for two of these 14m long, 16,OOOkg craft, so two 'full kits'.
