Helicopter Access Staging

16th May 2016

Pictured, is a completed Helicopter Access Staging for an Agusta Westland AW139 aircraft.

Our customer required access to both port and starboard sides of the aircraft along with access to the tail.

Special telescopic handrails were manufactured and fitted to allow for the movement of the rotor blades and the platform deck features various profiled cut outs to allow the access staging to fit around the antenna and sponson. A cut out was also incorporated to enable a hoist to be used.
The access stairs were fitted with punched aluminium treads and aluminium plank decking was used for additional safety.

All guardrails were powder coated in red as per our customer requirements and protective buffer was also fitted to protect the aircraft when the staging is in operation.
