Genie AWP and a 20th anniversary
 
2012 marks 20 years since our Director Ottie Whittle completed his 'Series 100 Genie Course' at Genie HQ in Redmond, Washington State, USA. In May 1992 Ottie travelled to the US for the first time to visit the home of Genie Industries, at the time a much smaller operation than we see today, Redmond WA is a small city just a few miles from the state capital Seattle. The Series 100 Course was always the entry door into the world of Genie AWP products and an excellent starting base from which to launch a career in Genie product sales, something that Ottie has done, or in his words 'is still striving to do daily'. Ottie will now be one the longest serving Genie sales people in the UK and brings all that experience to bear each day and to this day you will still meet Ottie demonstrating the Genie range and in particular the Genie AWP that he still takes from the back of our demonstration vehicle to demonstrate with a passion and enthusiasm that seems never to wane, very little has changed in 20 years. Ottie takes great pleasure in training all Working At Height staff from sales to accounts in the operation of a product that been the 'bread and butter' of the business and always will be.
