Aircraft Fan Case Access Platform

5th September 2019

Perhaps soon to be renamed the Bladeglider, pictured is our Glidelift working inside the fan case of the General Electric GEnx-1b which powers the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It has also been purchased to do the same on the GE-90 engine, the world’s largest that propels the Boeing 777, delivered to Heathrow in early September with full buffer protection fitted to cage and platform.

An age old access problem for all manufacturers of large jet engines, to be fair there are only two and we are proud to say we supply both. But we see a huge market for this platform now that it is proven and with airlines globally, in MRO facilities or even on the ramp.

Another safety issue solved by Working At Height Limited, well it’s what we do!
