Train Depot and Railways Roof Access Platforms

6th August 2024

Developed way back in the 1980’s, the boxing ring train roof access platform still has its place today as can be seen in the image, with 5 of these systems installed across the UK in August 2024.

This access system ensures that engineers working on train roofs are completley protected from falls by guardrailing, allowing them to concentrate on the task at hand in complete safety.

Access to the train roof platform is done via stairs fitted with anti-slip checker plate treads with handrails either side.

These newly installed systems will safeguard against falls from height for many years ensuring full compliance with 2005 Work At Height Regulations.
