Safe ‘Working At Height’ at St. Paul’s Cathedral

7th May 2007

Working At Height Limited, the Surrey & Yorkshire based access solutions company have delivered a Genie DPL-35 access platform to St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. The access platform will allow the Works Department to undertake a variety of high level maintenance tasks such as cleaning, building repairs, light replacement and general inspection.

The Cathedral’s specification was for a two person platform which would be light enough to push around and not damage the historic floor tiles. Working At Height provided the solution in the form of their Genie DPL access platform.

“The Genie DPL met the Cathedral’s requirement exactly, explains Working At Height’s Georgina Turner. When we initially surveyed St. Paul’s one of their main concerns was the potential damage to floor tiles. The DPL can elevate two people to a working height of over 12m and weighs 748kg and will ensure there will be no damage to the flooring”.
