New Accessible Ramp and Platform Installed at Tramway Museum

18th May 2026

We are pleased to have recently completed the installation of a new disabled access ramp and platform at the Tramway Museum.

The bespoke structure was designed to provide safer and easier access for visitors with reduced mobility, helping ensure the historic tram exhibits can be enjoyed by everyone. Finished in our traditional colour scheme, the platform has been carefully integrated into the heritage environment while delivering modern safety and accessibility standards.

The installation features:

  • Full edge protection guardrails
  • Integrated access ramp system
  • Adjustable support legs for precise levelling
  • Durable non-slip walking surface
  • Bespoke design to suit the tram layout and museum environment

Projects such as this demonstrate how sympathetic modern engineering can enhance accessibility without compromising the character of heritage vehicles and attractions.

We continue to provide bespoke access and safety solutions across the UK for rail, heritage, engineering and specialist environments.
