With its first European production line in full swing, Genie has produced more than 500 Z-45/25 articulating boom access platforms since April of this year.
Our picture on the left shows a Z-45/25J RT, manufactured at the Terexlift factory in Perugia, Italy.
The most popular Genie product in Europe, the Z-45/25 articulating boom access platform line is now housed at the Terexlift factory in Perugia, Italy. Previously, all articulating boom access platforms had been manufactured at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Redmond, Washington.
“We are extremely pleased with the progress of the Genie
Z-45/25 articulating boom access platform line,” said Ron Barnhart, senior director of European manufacturing. “The teams at Genie in Redmond and at Terexlift worked closely together to set up the new line and ensure its success.”
To streamline maintenance with the European-made products, the manufacturing process for Genie articulating Z booms in Europe is identical to the process used in the United States, and the parts are the same regardless of where the machine is built.
The Terexlift factory is scheduled to start manufacturing Genie Z-51/30J RT articulating boom access platforms at the end of the year.
