This is quite a 'rare bird', delivery of our excellent Genie DPL platform, rare only because the demand is not exceptionally high in the UK, however this does not mean that it is not an exceptional product, manufactured by Genie then of course it is and it is not new, the DPL has been around pretty much as long as the more popular Genie AWP product.
So yes, it may be quite rare but thankfully we have it in the range, as from time to time our customers want to elevate two people a great height but do not require a self-propelled machine, this could be due to weight concerns or simply the physical size of a powered access platform that can reach 13m, the photo shows the DPL-35S stowed, and as you can clearly see it is very compact when you consider just high it will reach.
Both St Pauls Cathedrals in London and the Royal Opera House are two customer of ours who are extremely pleased that Genie manufacture the DPL, the low weight of the DPL has prevented damage to the very rare and sacred floor tiles in the nave and throughout St Pauls. At the ROH it allows elevation on stage to 13m when required without prior consideration for overloading issues.
A great day on site with the Royal Navy, delivering specialist Work At Height training in a rather impressive setting.
