Boom and Scissor Lift Access Platforms for Ghana

4th June 2020

Even in these very troubling times major infrastructure projects are continuing around the world as is the case in Ghana where a huge transformation is taking place in the capital Accra with new roads, highways and bridges being built, and as you would expect a vast array of plant and equipment is required, this includes power access platforms, and happily for us the main contractor came to us for these, including articulating boom platforms and large deck scissor lifts.

So on the 19th of May a procession of load loaders collected the shiny new platforms from Skyjacks UK base in Oswestry. Skyjack as always have been exceptional, with the platforms being built in Canada it was a challenge to get them across the ocean when cargo ships have been fully laden with vital equipment for the fight against COVID-19, so as you would expect we were happy to wait our turn and only use space that become available and did not interfere or disrupt the flow of this equipment, what really helped was Skyjack offering continuous updates that we could relay to Accra, who completely understood.
