BathGlider – The over bath access platform

6th May 2019

Introducing the BathGlider, a new member of our Glider range of products.

Another simple but innovative solution requested from us by the UK property maintenance industry.

  • The Problem: doing new works, refurbishment and maintenance in bathrooms and above baths.
  • Why: tilers and maintenance staff standing on the bath sides to gain access to the ceiling or tiles at high level.
  • The Risk: a slip or illness resulting in being rendered unconscious could result in serious injury or worse.
  • Clients H & S suggestion: remove the bath completely and in its place put a step ladder or work platform.
  • The inconvenience: if an occupied property then the bath is out of action for a day or two, likely more.
  • The Cost: the time it takes to remove the bath, store it away from the bathroom and then reinstate it once the primary works are complete.
  • The Solution: contact Working At Height Limited
  • The Result: a flat pack design, manufactured in lightweight aluminium, offering full guardrail protection, ladder access and a platform that spans a standard and most common bath size fitted. With non-marking protection that prevents any interface with the bath sides and the platform.
