Each vehicle type has its own set of working at height issues, however waste management vehicles have lights, electrics and hydraulic systems positioned and located at height and in some very inaccessible locations, constant risk taking will take place without the correct type of access platform, very often a bespoke access platform is required.

There is new guidance from the HSE and two new laws passed in 2008 relating to safety in the workplace and accountability, along with the now extremely dire consequences associated with preventable accidents.
