Could a Bloodhound really replace a Reindeer?

With no information available on the top speed of Santa Clauses sleigh, is the unthinkable possible, and that Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen could be replaced by just one Bloodhound? 
 
With the automation age upon us and with 800mph possibly being achieved by Bloodhound SSC (Supersonic Car) before next Christmas, and then 1000mph in 2018, then perhaps Santa’s reindeer, including Rudolph had better look out!
