JMS Plant Hire on the Up!

JMS Plant Hire aim to be the UK’s leading low level powered and non-powered access specialists, the ‘go to place’. Falls from height are still taking place too regularly from heights that we perceive we would happily jump from, but perception deceives as jumping and falling are of course two different things, so the supply of access equipment up to a 2.00m platform height is vital, they must be easy to use and readily available to hire, hence our excitement at the news that equipment rental specialist Vp has bought mechanical and electrical equipment hire division of Jackson Mechanical Services (UK) for £3.6m. 

The JMS M&E rental activity operates from locations in Harpenden and Leeds and will be integrated into Vp’s specialist tool hire business Hire Station. So what does this mean for low access supply in the UK, well JMS Powered Access will retain and invest in one of the largest fleets of low level access in the UK alongside UK-wide hire of track mounted access, telehandlers, mini diggers, dumpers, Deskgliders and Glidelifts. It will continue to operate from depots in Harpenden and Leeds as well as its office based at Pinewood Studios near West London. 

A good friend and associate to Working At Height Limited (WAHL), Mark Jackson and Managing Director of JMS, said the deal would allow the firm to focus and expand its range of low level access, scissor and booms through its remaining powered access division. This is great news for WAHL, as JMS currently have the exclusive and sole rights to offer for hire our excellent Deskglider and Glidelift low level access platforms, it took many years for the Directors of WAHL to be confident enough to offer any UK hire company the right to hire our most valued of products, but JMS ticked all the boxes, we are very much cut from the same cloth in terms of service and professionalism, and most all a passion for design innovation, and for expanding a low level access fleet that will have no comparison, JMS are investing in new Deskgliders and Glidelifts continually, ensuring customers work safely and productively at any height, and in full compliance with Work At Height regulations, and avoiding any issues that would arise from a preventable accident.
